The Simon Bolivar Park

Have you ever gone to the Simon Bolivar park? Do you want to find a place in Bogota in wich you can make a lot of different sports like riding bicicle or make aerobics? Simon Bolivar park is the best place in Bogota for practicing different kind of sports. I went with all my family one Saturday to have a nice time in there riding bicicle and making other sports. We took the 68th avenue to reach there. Don't worry if you go by car, because there is a big parking lot in wich your car will be safe.

When we arrived in there, we took our bicicles out of the car and we went to ride bicicle around the park. There were a lot of tiny stores in wich people can buy "Salpicon", drinks, or food. We continued and we could see a big lake in wich people rode some boats and also practiced kayak. Then we saw a big mountain in wich people practice BMX. We continued and we saw also a big place in wich people made aerobics, or danced. Then my sister wanted to play in some big parks in wich children could play. Meanwhile, I went to the bathroom, but I couldnt enter because I didnt had money and to enter to the bathroom people has to pay 500 pesos. So I returned to the park in wich my parents were and we continued riding bycicle by the park. We could see that there is a orange road that is designed for people to run around the park without entering to the bicicles area. Then we got tired so we went to have a rest in a store and in there we drank gatorade, "salpicon" and ate some sandwiches and "empanadas". Finally we reached again the parking lot entrance so we went to the car, put the bicicles inside the car and go to our home. My father didnt like that the parking lot was so expensive, but I enjoyed too much in the Simon Bolivar park that I didn't care about it.

When we went out we could see that there were a lot of cars waiting to enter to the parking lot, so I recommend you to go in there so early in the morning. When you decide to go to the Simon Bolivar Park, make sure that there isn't any concert because sometimes it is closed because there are some important concerts in there. If you don't like sports, but you want to visit the park, you may go to one concert organized in there like Rock Al Parque.
