Have you ever gone to El Campin? Do you know that it is the biggest stadium in Bogota? In there you can see all the soccer matches of Millonarios and Santa Fe. I went to the El Campin to see Millonarios vs Real Cartagena. I went with my father, my uncle and my cousin. For going there we took the 30 avenue and we had to park the car in the parking lot of the stadium. The only disadvantage is that many cars park in there so it is always full. We had to sit in the East sits because the ones of the West were being repaired for the 2011 Under 20 Fifa World Cup.
In the entrance we had to pass by many places where policemen touched us in order to verify that we didn't have weapons or things that can be harmful for other people. Then we gave the tickets and entered fast to get good sits at the center of the field. The popular fans, called in here "Barras Bravas" were singing and jumping. They had many flags and in south there was "Blue Rain" and in north there was the "Comandos Azules" but because some troubles inside the fans, they were divided into Comandos and Kilombo Norte. The stadium was full, but it was in repairs for the world cup, as the rest of the main stadiums in Colombia. Then after we sit, the teams and the referees went out, and the anthem of Bogota and Cartagena sound. When the players of Millonarios went out, the fans got so excited. Then the match started. In the first part the teams played good but they didn't scored goals. The "barras bravas" started to sing some songs asking the players to play better, and also telling the coach to put Arrechea into the team. Then the first part finished and we went to the store and buy a Cheese stick because the ones of the stadium are delicious. Then we came back to our sits and the teams went to the field again and we could see that the coach put Arrechea, so all the people was excited because he is a very good forward player. The second part started and all the people was excited, Millonarios had to win. About in the 20' minute, one player of Real Cartagena commited foul to a player of Millonarios. It was a penalty kick. Arrechea took the ball and he was the one that was going to shoot the penalty. He took the distance and made a fantastic goal. All the people of Millonarios was so happy, the "barras bravas" sang and made the avalanch. A few time after that, Jhonathan Estrada kicked a corner kick, and Robayo shoot with his head and scored another goal. People was so happy, Millonarios was playing so good. Then Arrechea made another two goals, all the people was so happy, the fans sang and jumped.
When the match finished all the people was so happy, they started to congratulate the players with songs and started to tell bad things to the Real Cartagena fans and people. We went out of the stadium fast for not meeting with the "barras bravas" because my father and my uncle are so afraid of them, but I don't really care. So I invite you to go to the stadium, it is a nice experience where you can interact with different people of different social classes but that have your same passion: The soccer.
